Veliko Trnovo, a city in the north of Bulgaria, in the Middle Ages was the spiritual and cultural center of the country. The old part of Veliko Trnovo built on three hills: Carevec, Trapezica and Sveta Gora and river Jantra between them, influenced on the architecture of surrounding houses arranged in several levels. This city is called the Emperor’s Town because there are several Bulgarian Emperors and Empresses buried in it.
